Welcome. This is where we’re keeping an open, unfiltered account of building an AI-native creator platform for sports. A place for every creator, every weekend warrior, and everyone building the next generation of media that’s shaping how we watch and talk about the games we love.
We believe the sports creator community deserves better infrastructure than what it has today: screenshots, ripped clips, and graphics that disappear into the feed the moment they’re posted.
Right now, doing the deeper work, pulling licensed footage, working with proprietary data, building something with real rigor behind it, puts a creator at odds with the very leagues and teams they’re covering. The moment that work is published, it’s exposed. There’s no way to prove it’s being used responsibly, no way to control it once it’s out in the world, and no leverage when a takedown notice shows up. So creators end up boxed into a hard choice: stay generic and safe, or do the ambitious work and risk losing it entirely.
We know that tradeoff firsthand, because we’ve spent time on both sides of that room, with creators trying to do honest, ambitious work, and with rights holders trying to protect what’s theirs. That’s the vantage point we write from.
We’re not here to tell anyone to play it safe. We’re here to work through, in the open, what it actually looks like to build serious analysis, real data, real modeling, real rigor, in a way that gives creators standing instead of exposure. Some of what we share will be tactical: how to think about sourcing, structuring, and publishing work that holds up. Some of it will be about the shift happening underneath the industry right now, and what it means for anyone building a brand in sports media. All of it comes from actually building toward a better answer, not just naming the problem.
Here’s what we’ll cover:
Field notes on how we’re building the analysis and forecasting tools themselves
Deep dives using OddMan’s simulation and modeling on real matchups, games, player performances, and the storylines everyone’s talking about
What it actually takes to work as a professional, sustainable sports creator in a rights-conscious environment
Early access and feedback loops for the creators who want to help shape the platform before it opens more broadly
Our own take on the data we love and the sports that drive it
We’re building this with the creator community first, not around it. If you’re a creator trying to do more ambitious work without the legal and distribution headaches that come with it, this is your publication too. Subscribe, and let’s work through it together.
